Willi Kollo
Willi Kollo, born Willi Kollodzieyski on April 28, 1904, in Königsberg, German Empire (now Kaliningrad, Russia), was a German composer and writer. He was the son of the famous composer Walter Kollo and the father of René Kollo, with Nathalie Kollo as his granddaughter. Willi Kollo's career was marked by his work in the German entertainment industry, with his compositions and writings contributing to the musical landscape of his time. He passed away on February 4, 1988, in Berlin, Germany.

Kollo's life and career were later scrutinized due to his controversial political activities during the Nazi regime. Despite attempts by his family to present a more favorable narrative, a biography by Wolfgang Jansen explored these complexities, revealing contradictions in Kollo's alleged resistance and cooperation with the Nazi regime. After World War II, Kollo underwent a de-nazification process and was ultimately cleared, though some documents described him as "fishy."

Willi Kollo's works, along with those of his father, were not regularly performed posthumously, prompting efforts to revive interest through biographical exploration. His discography includes various albums, singles, and compilations, showcasing his contributions to the musical theater and entertainment world.
