Vlad Kolchin
Vlad Kolchin, born Vladislav Valeryevich Kolchin on July 5, 1974, in Ufa, Russian Federation, is a renowned Russian saxophonist and composer. He currently resides and works in St. Petersburg. Vlad is the brother of jazz singer Anna Kolchina. He studied alongside Zemfira Ramazanova at the Ufa School of Arts, where he accompanied her during performances in restaurants. Kolchin contributed to the recording of Zemfira's album "Четырнадцать Недель Тишины" (Fourteen Weeks of Silence). He played in Gennady Golshtein's big band "Saxophones of St. Petersburg" and collaborated with well-known jazz guitarist Jerry Kim to release two jazz albums: "RUSSIAN JAZZ STANDARD" and "38-я параллель" (38th Parallel). Vlad Kolchin is also the leader of the "Vlad Kolchin Project."
