Trancesetters is a Dutch electronic music duo consisting of Gaston Steenkist and Alex Dijksterhuis. They gained recognition for their singles "Roaches" and "Synergy," both released on the Hooj Choons label and achieving positions on the UK Singles Chart. The duo's music has been featured on numerous remix albums by prominent DJs such as Carl Cox, Sasha & Digweed, and the Global Underground series. Their track "Roaches," particularly the "Bugs In Slacker’s Bassment Remix," became a cult favorite in the underground scene, known for its dark and infectious sound. Trancesetters' music spans genres including electronic, house, techno, progressive house, and trance. Sadly, Alex Dijksterhuis passed away on February 27, 2023.
