Toney "Wild T" Springer is a Trinidadian/Canadian blues-rock guitarist known for his energetic performances and guitar prowess. Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Springer honed his musical skills as a teenager, playing with various reggae and calypso bands. He later moved to Canada, where he settled in Toronto and became part of the local music scene, performing in a Jimi Hendrix tribute band.

In 1986, Springer joined the band Rough Trade, which disbanded in 1988. By 1990, he adopted the stage name Wild T and formed his own band, Wild T and the Spirit. His talent was recognized with a Juno Award nomination for Most Promising Male Vocalist in 1992. Springer also contributed as a guest musician on David Bowie's 1993 album "Black Tie White Noise."

Wild T & the Spirit went through several lineup changes and released multiple albums, including "Givin' Blood," which was nominated for a Juno Award in 1994. The band has toured extensively across Europe, Canada, and the United States, maintaining a presence in the blues-rock scene.
