Tishman
Mark Iosifovich Tishman, born on August 22, 1979, in Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia, is a renowned Russian singer, composer, and television presenter. He is recognized as a Meritorious Artist of the Russian Federation as of 2025. Tishman was born into a multicultural family; his father, Iosif Arkadyevich Tishman, was an engineer from Chernivtsi, Ukraine, and his mother, Izolda Mikhailovna Tishman, was a doctor of Bessarabian descent. Mark has an older brother, Mikhail, who is also a doctor.

From a young age, Mark showed a keen interest in music, participating in various amateur performances. He studied piano at a music school in Makhachkala and excelled in his studies, which led him to win a competition for English proficiency at the age of 13. This achievement earned him a spot in a student exchange program in the United States, where he also sang in a children's choir.

Upon returning to Russia, Tishman pursued higher education at Moscow State University, graduating with honors from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, where he mastered English and Spanish. Concurrently, he took vocal lessons with Vladimir Khachaturov and later attended the Russian Academy of Theater Arts (RATI), where he studied musical theater.

Tishman's professional music career began with his involvement in the musical group "Profsoyuz," which won the "Sea Knot" competition in 2004. He later pursued a solo career, composing and performing his own music, and gained significant attention as a finalist on the television music project "Star Factory-7" in 2007, where he secured second place. His participation in the show brought him recognition from notable figures in the music industry, including jazz musician Georgy Garanyan.

Mark Tishman has been involved in various music and television projects, including performances at the "Russian Winter" festival in London and appearances on programs such as "Two Stars," "Song of the Year," and "Miss Russia." He is also known for composing anthems like "Forward, Russia!" and "Romashka," and has participated in numerous charity projects. Tishman continues to be a prominent figure in the Russian pop music scene.
