Three Dog Night
Three Dog Night was formed in 1967 by Danny Hutton, Cory Wells, and Chuck Negron. They emerged as one of the most successful pop groups of the late 1960s and early 1970s, known for their post-hippie sound. The band's name was inspired by an Aboriginal Australian term used to describe the coldness of a night. They achieved significant commercial success, selling over 60 million records and producing a series of top ten hits, including "One," "Eli’s Comin'," "Mama Told Me Not To Come," and "Joy to the World." Their success was largely attributed to their choice of songs, often relying on material from other songwriters, and the remarkable vocals of Chuck Negron.
