St. James Cathedral Choir
The St. James Cathedral Choir, based in Chicago, is renowned as one of the city's finest liturgical ensembles. The choir is composed of both professional singers and auditioned volunteers, and it performs regularly for the 11 a.m. Choral Eucharist every Sunday. Additionally, the choir sings at Evensong on the first Sunday of each month at 4 p.m. and participates in special services throughout the year. The choir is known for its concerts and tours and has been featured on WFMT radio. Its musical identity is deeply rooted in the Anglican choral tradition, with a repertoire that spans seven centuries, while also striving to include voices that have historically been overlooked.

The St. James Cathedral has a long-standing reputation for excellence in sacred music. Originally, the church was home to a well-known choir of men and boys, which transitioned in 1926 to an adult choir of mixed voices. The music program at St. James has been led by several prominent figures in American church music, including Dudley Buck, Peter Lutkin, Clarence Dickinson, and Leo Sowerby, who is often referred to as the "Dean of American church music" due to his influential compositions.
