Sash
Sash! is a German electronic music group formed in 1995 in Wuppertal, Germany. The group consists of Sascha Lappessen, Ralf Kappmeier, and Thomas Lüdke. Sascha Lappessen, born on June 10, 1970, in Nettetal, Germany, fronts the group. Initially working as an electrical engineer, Lappessen transitioned into the DJ business, eventually forming Sash! with Kappmeier and Lüdke.
Sash! gained rapid success in the UK and Europe with their 1997 dance anthem "It's My Life." They became one of the best-selling Euro-house artists of the year with hits like "Encore Une Fois," "Ecuador," and "Stay," all reaching the UK Top 3. Their debut album, "It's My Life – The Album," was released after signing with PolyGram. The group continued their success with the single "La Primavera" from their second album, "Life Goes On," and later hits like "Adelante" and "Ganbareh."
Known for their electronic, club/dance, and techno styles, Sash! also remixed tracks for artists like 2 Unlimited, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Dr. Alban. Their music remains influential in the dance music scene from the 1990s to the 2020s.
