Ray Kennedy
Ray Kennedy, born on May 13, 1954, in Buffalo, New York, is an American country music artist known for his work as a singer-songwriter and record producer. He gained recognition in the early 1990s with the release of two albums under Atlantic Records, which produced four singles on the Hot Country Songs charts. The most successful of these was "What a Way to Go," which became a top 40 country hit, peaking at No. 10 in 1990.

In addition to his recording career, Kennedy is acclaimed for his work as a producer. He won a Grammy Award in 2005 for Best Contemporary Folk Album for his production on Steve Earle's album "The Revolution Starts Now." Kennedy's collaborations with Earle are collectively known as The Twangtrust.

Kennedy's father, Ray Kennedy Sr., was instrumental in the creation of the Discover Card while working as a credit manager for Sears. Ray Kennedy is married to Siobhan Maher Kennedy. His career in music has spanned several decades, during which he has contributed significantly to both the country and folk music genres.
