Mohammad Reza Aligholi
Mohammad Reza Aligholi, born in 1960 in Tehran, is a renowned Iranian composer. He began his musical journey at the age of 14, learning to play the trombone and compose music under the guidance of Bulgarian instructor Vanko Naidenov. Aligholi's professional career took off as he composed music for television series and theater productions. Over his career, he has composed soundtracks for more than 140 films and series, including notable works such as "Very Far, Very Close," "Narges," "Ghadmagah," "The Possibility of Mina," and "Dokhtar." His exceptional talent has earned him 15 nominations for the Crystal Simorgh award at the Fajr Film Festival, winning the prestigious award four times.

Aligholi has also contributed as a producer for the film "Majnoon" and appeared in "The Changed Man." He is the brother of the late Mahmoud (Siamak) Aligholi, a well-known singer and radio/television presenter. The brothers collaborated on various projects, with Siamak's vocals featuring in several of Mohammad Reza's soundtracks, such as "Refugee" and "Insane Epic."

In January 2017, Aligholi was honored with the Best Soundtrack Award at the ASIANS ON FILM festival in the USA for the animated film "Blank." Among his other works is the symphonic poem "Thirsty Water," which depicts the events of Ashura through a narrative and was performed by the National Orchestra of Iran in 2019.
