Jesus Miguel "Mike" Sanchez, born on 17 February 1964 in Hackney, London, is a British rhythm and blues singer, pianist, and songwriter of Spanish-English heritage. Known for his dynamic performances and boogie-woogie piano style, Sanchez has made a significant mark in the music world through his work with bands like the Big Town Playboys and Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, as well as his solo career.

Sanchez's journey in music began at a young age after his family moved to Worcestershire, where he developed a passion for 1950s American roots music. He formed The Rockets, a rockabilly trio, during his teenage years. His career took a pivotal turn when he co-founded the Big Town Playboys in 1984, a band specializing in post-war Rhythm & Blues. The group garnered attention, leading to collaborations with notable musicians such as Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck, with whom they recorded the album "Crazy Legs" in 1993.

In 2000, Sanchez embarked on a solo career, which included a four-year stint with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. His performances have graced numerous European festivals, and he has shared the stage with blues legends like Lowell Fulson and Little Willie Littlefield. Sanchez's discography includes notable albums such as "Just Can't Afford It" (2000) and "Almost Grown" (2012), featuring Imelda May.
