Memphis Minnie
Lizzie “Kid” Douglas, known professionally as Memphis Minnie, was one of the most important blues musicians and songwriters from the 1930s to the 1950s. She was a prolific artist, recording over 200 songs during her career. Memphis Minnie was also an early adopter of the electric guitar, which contributed to her distinctive sound and influence in the blues genre. Some of her popular songs include "When the Levee Breaks," "Bumble Bee Blues," "Selling My Pork Chops," and "Me and My Chauffeur Blues."
