Melchior Franck
Melchior Franck was a composer known for his contributions to early Baroque music. He is recognized for his work on a 16th-century Silesian folk song that later inspired the Christmas carol "O Christmas Tree," with lyrics by Ernst Anschütz. Franck's compositions include popular songs such as "Du bist aller Dinge schön," "Herr, nun lässest du deinen Diener," and "Also hat Gott die Welt geliebt." His notable albums include "Rosetulum musicum," released in 1628, and "Geistliche Gesäng und Melodeyen," released in 1608. Franck's music remains a part of the classical repertoire, showcasing his skill in choral and religious compositions.
