Mary Lebenson
Early life and education: Born on September 30, 1931, in Odessa, Lebenzon began playing piano at age four. She trained at the Stolyarsky music school for gifted children in Odessa under Berta Reingbald before continuing her studies at the Moscow Conservatory with Alexander Goldenweiser.
