Los De Imaguare
Los de Imaguaré is a renowned chamamé group from Corrientes, Argentina, known for their passionate and historical poetry and songs that capture the essence of chamamé. The group was formed in Mercedes, Corrientes, in the late 1970s by bandoneonist and composer Joaquín Adán Sheridan and singer, poet, and composer Julio Tomás Cáceres. The ensemble originated from the group "Los Hijos del Pay Ubre," which included Sheridan, Cáceres, and poet Julián Zini, supported by friends like José Ramón Frete, Carlos Núñez, and Justo Ricardo “Tito” Gómez.

Los de Imaguaré gained significant success and were signed by the label Music Hall, where they recorded their debut album "Viajero de sueños," followed by "El camino del amor," "Chamamecero," and "Nuestro canto." These albums featured timeless classics such as "Para volver a soñar" and "Tapera de mis recuerdos."

Throughout the years, the group has seen various lineup changes, with notable contributions from artists like Ramón Alberto “Pocholo” Airé and Rudy Flores. In the 1980s, Miguel Angel Sheridan joined, bringing memorable interpretations like "Glorias de nuestro pasado." After the departure of the Sheridan brothers in 1986, Julio Cáceres took over leadership, collaborating with musicians like Oscar “Cacho” Montes and later Bruno Mendoza.

Currently, Los de Imaguaré includes members such as Mauro Bonamino (accordion), Fabio Acevedo (guitar), Fernando Soto (guitar), Alejandro Mendoza (bass), Juan Carlos Mora (piano), Federico Cáceres (recitations), Nicolás Cáceres (vocals), and Julio Cáceres (vocals and recitations). The group continues to perform widely, acting as cultural ambassadors for chamamé across Argentina and neighboring countries.

Julio Cáceres is also noted for his work as a researcher and compiler of regional music, co-authoring the book "Camino al chamame" with Nerea Avellanal and Julián Zini. Los de Imaguaré's music and performances reflect the cultural heritage of the Guaranitic area, preserving and celebrating its traditions through their extensive discography and live performances.
