Kurt Hohenberger
Kurt Hohenberger (April 28, 1908 – July 15, 1979) was a notable German jazz trumpeter born in Stuttgart. He was a member of the Goldene Sieben, a prominent jazz ensemble, from 1934 to 1939. During this period, Hohenberger also led his own group in Berlin, performing regularly at the Quartier Latin club from 1937 to 1943. His collaborations included performances and recordings with artists such as Oscar Joost, Peter Kreuder, Teddy Stauffer, Peter Igelhoff, Willy Berking, and Bimbo Weiland. Towards the end of World War II, Hohenberger served in the military, and in the late 1940s, he recorded with a swing big band. From 1949 to 1951, he lived in Brazil before returning to Germany, where he continued to record as a bandleader. His career concluded with his last performances in the late 1950s.
