Judy Rodman
Judy Mae Rodman, born Judy Mae Robbins on May 23, 1951, in Riverside, California, is a distinguished American country music singer, songwriter, producer, and vocal coach based in Nashville, Tennessee. Her musical journey began early, singing at age four and playing guitar by eight. Her eclectic musical tastes were shaped by her family's frequent relocations, exposing her to diverse genres like Cajun and Calypso music.

In her late teens, Rodman started her career singing advertising jingles, which led to a fruitful partnership with her college roommate, future country vocalist Janie Fricke. They worked as jingle singers for the Tanner Agency in Memphis, Tennessee. By the mid-1970s, Rodman was primarily a background vocalist, working with industry legends such as Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynette, and Ray Charles.

Rodman's breakthrough came in the mid-1980s when she signed with MTM Records, becoming the label's first artist. Her debut single, "I've Been Had By Love Before," reached the Top 40 on the Country singles chart, followed by other successful singles. In 1985, she was honored with the Academy of Country Music's "Top New Female Vocalist" award. Her 1986 album, "Judy," featured the number one hit "Until I Met You."

Beyond her solo career, Rodman co-wrote LeAnn Rimes's number-one hit "One Way Ticket (Because I Can)" and developed the vocal technique "Power, Path & Performance," which she teaches and sells. As a vocal coach, she has been recognized as the "Best Vocal Coach" in Nashville and has worked with numerous artists and speakers.

Rodman continues to contribute to the music industry as a producer and songwriter. She collaborates with her husband, John Rodman, on musical projects, including their album "Here We Are," released in 2015. Her extensive career includes producing award-winning records and collaborating on contemporary musicals. Judy Rodman's legacy is marked by her versatility and impact across various facets of the music industry.
