Jud Conlon’s Rhythmaires
Jud Conlon's Rhythmaires was an American vocal group formed by Justin "Judd" Conlon, who was a prominent vocal arranger and conductor. The group was established in 1947 following the departure of The Charioteers from Bing Crosby's radio program. The Rhythmaires, consisting of members Jud Conlon, Mack McLean, Loulie Jean Norman, Gloria Wood, and Charlie Parlato, became closely associated with Bing Crosby. They collaborated with him for nearly a decade, participating in over 230 broadcasts and more than 40 recordings. Some of their notable works with Crosby include "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo," "Teddy Bears' Picnic," and "It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas." The group was sometimes expanded and performed under different aliases such as The Jud Conlon Singers or The Jud Conlon Choir. Their final recordings with Crosby were made in 1956. Additionally, the Rhythmaires appeared on various albums and collaborated with artists like Georgie Auld. Jud Conlon also worked on projects with Andy Williams, Guy Lombardo, and Stan Freberg, and contributed to several Walt Disney films.
