Joyce Moreno, born Joyce Silveira Palhano de Jesus on January 31, 1948, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is a renowned Brazilian singer-songwriter and guitarist. Known professionally as Joyce, she has been active in the music industry since 1968 and is celebrated for her contributions to genres such as jazz, MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), and bossa nova. Joyce's career began in 1964 when she participated in a vocal quartet for the album Sambacana by Pacífico Mascarenhas. She released her first solo album, "Joyce," in 1968, showcasing her songwriting prowess with five self-penned tracks and a collaboration with Jards Macalé.

Over the years, Joyce has released 45 more albums and two DVDs, amassing nearly 400 songs to her name. Her work has earned her four Latin Grammy nominations in 2000, 2004, 2005, and 2010. Her music is characterized by its feminine perspective and her adept guitar skills. Joyce's compositions have been recorded by iconic Brazilian artists such as Elis Regina, Maria Bethânia, and Milton Nascimento, as well as international artists like Annie Lennox and the Black Eyed Peas.
