Jessica Elisabeth Angelique Folcker, known professionally as Jessica, is a Swedish singer born on 9 July 1975 in Täby, Stockholm County. With a Swedish mother and a Senegalese father, Jessica pursued her passion for music by attending Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm. She began her career as a backing singer for notable acts such as Ace of Base and Dr. Alban, and contributed vocals to Leila K's "Electric" and E-Type's music.

Her debut album, "Jessica," released in 1998, featured collaborations with renowned composer and producer Max Martin. The album's success propelled her to international stardom, particularly in Asia, where she achieved significant sales and her song "Goodbye" became a major hit in South Korea. In Sweden, her singles "How Will I Know (Who You Are)" and "Tell Me What You Like" topped the charts and earned her two NRJ awards.

Jessica's second album, "Dino," was released in 2000, with the single "To Be Able To Love" gaining popularity in the United States, especially through a remix by DJ Jonathan Peters. Her music continued to resonate in South Korea, where "Lost Without Your Love" became a theme song for a Korean film.
