Igor Uryash
Igor Uryash is a distinguished Russian pianist born in 1965 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He began his musical education at the special music school of the St. Petersburg (Leningrad) Academy of Music, studying under Elena Hinitz and Asja Rubina. Uryash further honed his skills at the St. Petersburg Academy of Music with guidance from Anatol Ugorski and later perfected his craft under the tutelage of Professor Tatjana Kravchenko, a celebrated "Folk artist of Russia."

In 1991, Uryash achieved international recognition by winning first prize at the Vercelli Chamber Ensemble Viotti competition in Italy as part of the Saint-Peters-Trio. His career as a solo performer is marked by an extensive repertoire and collaborations with renowned symphony orchestras worldwide, including the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, and New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.

Uryash has performed alongside eminent conductors such as Valery Gergiev and Saulius Sondeckis, and has worked with celebrated musicians like violinists Maxim Vengerov and Viktor Tretiakov, and cellist Mstislav Rostropovich. He is a member of the Nevà-Trio and the St. Petersburg Chamber Players and is known for being the first interpreter of new music at various festivals, including Dekabrskie Vechera in Russia and Mozart Week in Austria.

In addition to his performance career, Igor Uryash is dedicated to teaching at the St. Petersburg Academy of Music, continuing the prestigious traditions of the Russian piano school. His discography includes recordings of works by Beethoven, Schubert, and other classical composers.
