Fulton McGrath
Fulton "Fidgy" McGrath (December 6, 1907 – January 1, 1958) was an American jazz pianist and songwriter known for his contributions to the jazz scene in the early to mid-20th century. He began his career playing with Red Nichols in the early 1930s and subsequently joined The Dorsey Brothers' band. McGrath was a prolific studio musician and worked extensively in radio orchestras. Between 1935 and 1937, he was part of Lennie Hayton's radio ensemble and later played with notable musicians such as Bunny Berigan, Joe Venuti, and Chauncey Morehouse.

In the 1940s, McGrath moved to the West Coast, where he contributed to film soundtracks in Hollywood. He was also the father-in-law of renowned jazz musician Victor Feldman. Among his compositions are "Shim Sham Shimmy" and "Mandy Is Two," the latter of which was recorded by the legendary Billie Holiday. McGrath's career reflects a significant presence in the jazz world, both as a performer and a composer.
