Er Quan Ying Yue, also known as "The Moon Reflected in Er-Quan," is a renowned piece of Chinese classical music composed by Abing, whose real name was Hua Yanjun. Born in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, China, Abing was a blind street musician who specialized in playing the erhu and pipa. His life was marked by hardship, including poverty and blindness due to syphilis. Despite these challenges, Abing became a celebrated figure in Chinese music.

Er Quan Ying Yue is one of Abing's most famous compositions, created during his time as a street performer in the mid-1930s. The piece reflects his personal sorrow and longing for a better life, capturing the depth of his emotional experience. It is written for the erhu and is characterized by its use of the pentatonic scale, ornamentation, and emotive motifs that convey a sense of continuity and change.

Shortly before his death in 1950, Abing's performance of Er Quan Ying Yue was recorded by two musicologists from the Central Conservatory of Music. This recording later won the Twentieth Century Classical Chinese Music Awards, solidifying the piece's status as a significant work in Chinese classical music.
