Emil Stern
Émile Stern, known professionally as Emil Stern, was a distinguished French composer, pianist, and conductor of Romanian descent. Born on April 28, 1913, in Paris, France, he pursued a prolific career in music from the 1930s until his death on January 14, 1997, in Cannes, France. Stern was renowned for his collaboration with lyricist Eddy Marnay, with whom he co-wrote "Un jour, un enfant," a song that won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969, performed by Frida Boccara. He also composed scores for films, including Claude Berri's "Mazel Tov ou le Mariage." Stern was involved in various musical groups, such as Emil Stern Et Son Ensemble and Emil Stern Et Son Orchestre, and was known for his work with artists like Marie Laforêt, contributing to songs such as "Ivan, Boris et moi."
