Duo Two Accordions, consisting of father and daughter Sergei and Maria Teleshev, is a renowned musical collaboration celebrated for their exceptional accordion performances. Both are World Accordion Champions, having won numerous international competitions across the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, and France. The duo's repertoire spans a diverse range of styles, including Classical, Tango, Jazz, Pop, and original compositions, making their performances highly versatile and engaging.
Sergei Teleshev, originally from Eugene, Oregon, has Ukrainian roots and was classically trained at the Academy of Music in Voronezh, Russia. He is a founding member of several musical ensembles and collaborates with internationally recognized artists. Sergei's YouTube channel features over two hundred music videos, with his rendition of J.S. Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" reaching over 3 million views. He also organizes the prestigious "Accordion Star International" competition and provides online lessons and master classes.
Maria Telesheva began playing the accordion at the age of six under her father's tutelage. She quickly rose to prominence by winning her first international competition just two months later. Maria is not only an accomplished accordionist but also a talented singer and dancer, performing in multiple languages. In 2021, she was honored as "Prodigy of the Year" and featured on the cover of Accordion Stars Illustrated magazine.
