Dream Union
Dreamers Union Choir (DUC) is a dynamic power chorus group based in Tokyo, Japan, known for its original compositions rooted in gospel music. The group was formed in 2006 when gospel specialist Taro Kijima was invited to assemble a choir for a performance at a gathering of African diplomats in Roppongi, Tokyo. Due to the limited preparation time, Kijima selected experienced singers, resulting in a unique sound that the members wanted to continue exploring. This led to their reunion for a charity event for the Republic of Benin and the establishment of regular rehearsals under Kijima's direction.

In 2007, the group officially debuted as the Dreamers Union Choir. They have since developed a diverse musical style, incorporating non-gospel songs and focusing on original compositions. The choir is composed of 11 singers, ranging in age from 20 to 44, including university students and parents, alongside their pianist and director, Taro Kijima.

DUC made their major debut with the song "Kocho Sensei Uchujin Setsu" (The Principal Alien Theory) for NHK's "Minna no Uta," a piece that humorously addresses school life while delivering a message of peace. The song was released in 2025, marking 80 years since the end of World War II, and is characterized by its catchy pop melody and gospel-style vocal performance. Dreamers Union Choir continues to engage audiences with their powerful performances and commitment to blending musical and spiritual heritage.
