Carlo Marrale
Carlo Marrale, born on March 15, 1952, in Genoa, Italy, is a renowned Italian singer, songwriter, and musician. He began his music career in 1971 by co-founding the progressive rock band Jet with Piero Cassano and Aldo Stellita, serving as the guitarist and main vocalist. Jet released their debut album, "Fede, speranza, carità," in 1972 and participated in the Sanremo Music Festival the following year.

In 1975, Jet transformed into Matia Bazar with the addition of vocalist Antonella Ruggiero and drummer Giancarlo Golzi. Matia Bazar became one of Italy's most popular bands in the 1970s and 1980s, with Marrale co-writing numerous hits and performing vocal duties, often duetting with Ruggiero. Notable songs include "Stasera...che sera!" and "Solo tu."

After Ruggiero's departure in 1989, Marrale continued with Matia Bazar until 1993, when he left to pursue a solo career. His solo debut, "Tra le dita la vita," was released in 1994, followed by "Melody Maker" in 2007. Marrale also wrote for various artists, including Irene Cara and Miguel Bosé, and his song "Odissea" topped the US charts in 2003.

In addition to music, Marrale is a painter and photographer, showcasing his artistic versatility.
