Paul Bruce Dickinson, born on August 7, 1958, in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England, is an English singer and songwriter renowned for his role as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Iron Maiden. He is celebrated for his operatic vocal style and dynamic stage presence. Dickinson's music career began in the 1970s, performing with small pub bands while attending school in Sheffield and university in London. In 1979, he joined the band Samson, gaining popularity under the stage name "Bruce Bruce" and contributing to two studio albums.

In 1981, Dickinson replaced Paul Di'Anno as the lead singer of Iron Maiden, debuting on their iconic 1982 album "The Number of the Beast." During his initial tenure with the band, Iron Maiden released several platinum and gold albums in the US and UK throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. In 1993, Dickinson left Iron Maiden to pursue a solo career, exploring various heavy metal and rock styles. He returned to Iron Maiden in 1999, alongside guitarist Adrian Smith, and has since released six studio albums with the band. His solo discography includes albums like "Tattooed Millionaire" and "Tyranny of Souls."
