Asmik Grigoryan
Asmik Grigorian, born on May 12, 1981, in Vilnius, Lithuanian SSR, Soviet Union, is a renowned Lithuanian operatic soprano of Armenian descent. She completed her education at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art in Vilnius in 1999 and later graduated with a master's degree from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2006. Grigorian made her operatic debut in 2004 in Christiansand, Norway, as Donna Anna, and subsequently performed in various roles in Lithuania and internationally.

A founding member of Vilnius City Opera, Grigorian has portrayed characters in operas such as Puccini's "La bohème," Verdi's "Il trovatore," and Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin." She has graced stages at the Latvian National Opera, Mariinsky Theater, and other prestigious venues. Her accolades include the Golden Stage Cross, Lithuania's highest theater award, in 2005 and 2010.

Grigorian's international acclaim grew with her performances at the Theater an der Wien, Komische Oper Berlin, and the Salzburg Festival. Her portrayal of Marie in "Wozzeck" at the Salzburg Festival in 2017 was critically acclaimed. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including Best Newcomer at the International Opera Awards in 2016 and Female Singer of the Year at the Opus Klassik Awards in 2023.

Her discography includes recordings with Alpha Classics, featuring works by Rachmaninov and Strauss. Grigorian continues to captivate audiences with her performances at leading opera houses worldwide, including the Vienna State Opera, New York Metropolitan Opera, and Royal Opera House.
