Art and Dotty Todd were an American husband and wife singing duo who gained popularity in the 1950s with their hit songs "Broken Wings" and "Chanson D'Amour." Dotty Todd, born Doris Dabb on June 22, 1913, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, was a talented pianist who performed at Carnegie Hall at just 13 years old. Art Todd, born Arthur William Todd on March 11, 1914, in Baltimore, Maryland, was a guitarist and vocalist. The couple met at the Providence Biltmore Hotel in Rhode Island due to a booking mishap that placed them in the same suite. They married in 1941 and, after Art's service in the U.S. Army entertainment unit, they settled in Sherman Oaks, California.

The Todds launched their career in the California lounge circuit and even hosted their own radio show. Their recording of "Broken Wings" became a UK hit in 1953, reaching No. 6 on the charts. In 1958, their rendition of "Chanson D'Amour" became a major success in the US, reaching No. 6 and selling over a million copies, earning a gold disc. Despite their success, they struggled to maintain prominence with the rise of rock and roll.

The couple continued to perform, notably setting a record for a 68-week run at the Dunes in Las Vegas. In 1980, they moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, where they opened their own club. Dotty Todd passed away on December 12, 2000, at the age of 87, and Art Todd died on October 10, 2007, at the age of 93.
