Alessia Aquilani, professionally known as Alexia, is an Italian singer-songwriter born on May 19, 1967, in Arcola, Liguria, Italy. She emerged in the music scene in 1989, initially working with the Italian label Euroenergy and later providing backing vocals for Eurodance acts like Ice MC and Double You under producer Roberto Zanetti, also known as Robyx. Alexia gained international recognition in the 1990s with hits such as "Think About the Way," "It's a Rainy Day," and "Russian Roulette," which were part of Ice MC's repertoire.
In 1995, Alexia launched her solo career with the single "Me and You," followed by a series of successful tracks including "Summer Is Crazy," "Number One," and "Uh La La La," which became a European summer anthem in 1997. Her debut album, *Fan Club*, released in 1997, solidified her status in the Eurodance genre. She continued her success with subsequent albums *The Party* and *Happy*, and transitioned from Eurodance to pop music in the late 1990s.
In the early 2000s, Alexia began recording in Italian, achieving notable success in her home country. She participated in the Sanremo Music Festival multiple times, winning in 2003 with the song "Per Dire di No." Her 2004 album *Gli Occhi Grandi Della Luna* featured the international hit "You Need Love," written by Diane Warren.

In 2024, she returned to her Eurodance roots with the single "I Feel Feelings," accompanied by a music video shot at Armani Silos, showcasing her enduring influence in both music and fashion.
