Judas Priest
Judas Priest is one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time, known for spearheading the New Wave of British Heavy Metal in the late 1970s. Formed in Birmingham, England, in 1969, the band's core members included guitarist K.K. Downing and bassist Ian Hill. Over the years, the lineup has seen several changes, with notable members such as Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, and Scott Travis.
The band gained prominence with their unique blend of straightforward rock & roll and theatrical performance, characterized by Rob Halford's dynamic vocals and the dual-lead guitar attack of Tipton and Downing. They released iconic albums like "British Steel" (1980), "Screaming for Vengeance" (1982), and "Defenders of the Faith" (1984), which featured metal anthems such as "Breaking the Law" and "You've Got Another Thing Coming."
Despite struggles after Halford's departure in the early 1990s, Judas Priest regained their status in the 2000s with his return, releasing acclaimed albums like "Angel of Retribution" (2005) and "Firepower" (2018).
