Bob Allison
Robert "Bob" L. Allison was a celebrated musician born on May 19, 1935, in Norfolk, Nebraska. From a young age, Bob was drawn to music, teaching himself to play the guitar, banjo, and piano. His passion for country and gospel music led him to perform with his father and brothers in the Rainbow Valley Band at the age of 14. Later, he became a key member of the Allison Brothers Band, which was eventually inducted into the Nebraska Music Hall of Fame in 2016.

Throughout the 1970s to 1990s, Bob played a significant role in promoting live music in Norfolk, Nebraska. He brought numerous big-name entertainers to the Norfolk City Auditorium, including the Oak Ridge Boys and Collin Raye, and organized a memorable outdoor show in 1993 featuring Johnny Cash. From 1982 to 1988, he managed live music and stage performances at Norfolk's Granada Theater, hosting artists like Tammy Wynette and Ray Price.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Bob was skilled in carpentry and co-founded Allison Brothers Construction. He was also a devoted family man, married to Phillis Jean Rabe for 61 years, with whom he had four children. Bob passed away on December 1, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of music and community involvement.
