Steven Hufsteter
Steven Hufsteter is a notable American musician recognized primarily for his role as the lead guitarist and primary songwriter for the mid-1970s power pop band, The Quick. Based in Los Angeles, The Quick were influenced by 1960s British Invasion and 1970s British glam bands, as well as local acts like Sparks. Hufsteter was instrumental in shaping the band's sound and contributed significantly to their material. After The Quick disbanded, he became a founding member of the band Cruzados and later played with Tito & Tarantula alongside fellow Cruzado member Tito Larriva. Hufsteter's songwriting prowess extended beyond his bands, with his work being covered by other artists, including the Dickies and Redd Kross. Notable songs associated with him include "Pretty Please Me," "After Dark," and "Flor De Mal."
