Gunther Mende
Gunther Mende, born on June 4, 1952, in Wiesbaden, Germany, is a renowned German record producer. His passion for music began at the age of six when he received his first set of drums. After completing his education in Mainz, where he studied Germanistics, politics, and philosophy, Mende worked as a mason and sculptor in the family business. He initially earned money playing drums in bands across Germany.

In 1976, Mende's career took a significant turn when CBS Frankfurt hired him as a staff producer. He collaborated with Candy de Rouge, producing for the band Red Baron. Mende's career flourished as he wrote songs for various artists, including Roy Black and Tommy Steiner, and eventually discovered Jennifer Rush. His collaboration with Rush and de Rouge led to the production of hits like "The Power of Love," which became a chart-topping success.

Mende's production credits include work with international stars such as Céline Dion, Falco, Tina Turner, and European artists like Nena, Udo Lindenberg, and Sarah Connor. He achieved notable success with Jennifer Rush's albums, which topped the charts and received platinum certifications in multiple countries.

In 1994, Mende sold his recording studios and moved to Cyprus, where he built his home. He also resides periodically in Tirol. Mende is married to Korean pianist Mee Eun Kim, with whom he produced the album "Beyond" in 2009, featuring Tina Turner and others.

Throughout his career, Mende has received numerous accolades, including ASCAP-Pop Awards and multiple gold and platinum albums. He was nominated for a Grammy for Céline Dion's rendition of "The Power of Love." Mende remains an influential figure in the music industry, with a legacy of successful productions and contributions to various musical projects.
