Matteo Bonsanto
Matteo Bonsanto is an Italian producer and composer based in Milan. He is known for his work in the Italo disco genre and was a member of the music project Kano, which was formed in 1979 alongside Luciano Ninzatti and Stefano Pulga. Kano achieved international success with their debut single "I'm Ready" in 1980, which was characterized by its blend of disco, funk, and R&B elements, and extensive use of synthesizers and vocoderized vocals. Bonsanto contributed to several of Kano's hits, including "It's a War," "I Need Love," and "Another Life." In addition to his work with Kano, Bonsanto has been involved in various musical projects and is credited as a composer and lyricist on numerous 1980s-themed compilation albums. He is also the father of Davide Bonsanto and Andrea Bonsanto.
