Bobby Williams
Bobby Williams is a versatile musician whose journey in music began in the early 1970s. He initially learned to play drums and read drum music in a school orchestra and rock band, under the guidance of a music teacher named Jack Neal. Although he experimented with guitar and piano, it wasn't until his early 40s that he seriously pursued performing cover songs on guitar and vocals. He quickly formed a band with friends, performing at small venues and eventually evolving into a four-piece rock group that played regularly at Think Cafe.
Williams sought to expand beyond cover songs, embarking on an ambitious project to write and produce an original CD despite having no formal music theory training. He successfully created eleven tracks spanning genres from country rock to folk. His performances are characterized by solo live vocals and guitar, covering classic rock and his original music at various venues in the Los Angeles area, including prestigious locations like Trump National Golf Club.
In addition to his musical endeavors, Bobby Williams is also a hip hop musician who has performed across the United States, India, and Mexico. He has a background in social work, having served as a foster care case manager where he introduced music as a therapeutic tool for youth in foster care. This initiative led to the creation of The Bridge Music Project. In recognition of his community work, Williams received a fellowship award from The Jubilation Foundation in 2017. He continues to write, record, and perform music across multiple regions, including San Diego, Temecula, Orange County, and Los Angeles.
