Bluefish
Bluefish is a dynamic band originating from the scenic Bainbridge Island, Washington. Formed in 2022, the group has quickly made a name for itself in the Pacific Northwest music scene with its engaging performances and catchy melodies. Bluefish's music is a unique blend of rock, folk, and blues, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Their songs explore themes of love, loss, and the human experience, creating a danceable and resonant sonic journey for audiences of all ages.
The band consists of several talented musicians, each bringing their own flair and expertise. Betsy Peabody, who began singing with her sister for fun, joined her first band, Out of Order, in 2015 and continues to enjoy performing with Bluefish. Mark Schneider, a versatile musician with a background in keyboard, trumpet, and drums, also played in Out of Order with Betsy and now enjoys learning guitar riffs from fellow band member Joe. Joe Van Dyke, who has been playing since fifth grade, contributes his skills on the mandolin and vocals. Ryan Richards, a guitarist and bassist with a rich history of performing across the Americas, adds his experience to the group. Finally, Dave Memke, known as "Island Dave," provides percussion and vocals, bringing his passion for music to the band despite his mother's early advice against playing drums.
