Kelly Lee Owens is a Welsh electronic musician, producer, and songwriter born on August 24, 1988, in Rhuddlan, Clwyd, Wales. From a young age, Owens was involved in music, participating in school choirs and learning to play bass and drums. Her early experiences in nature and writing poetry influenced her creative path. At 19, she moved to Manchester to work as an auxiliary nurse in a cancer treatment hospital, where her patients encouraged her to pursue a music career.

Owens transitioned from nursing to music in 2009, moving to London to immerse herself in the music scene. She interned at XL Recordings and worked at record stores, where she met key collaborators like Daniel Avery and James Greenwood. Her debut self-titled album, released in 2017 by Smalltown Supersound, received critical acclaim and established her as a significant new talent in electronic music. Her subsequent albums, "Inner Song" (2020), "LP.8" (2022), and "Dreamstate" (2024), further showcased her unique blend of dream pop, techno pop, and ambient elements.

Owens has collaborated with notable artists such as St. Vincent, Björk, and John Cale, and has performed at major festivals worldwide. Her music often explores themes of healing and the environment, reflecting her interest in the transformative power of sound. In 2023, she composed the official theme song "Unity" for the FIFA Women's World Cup. Owens continues to be a dynamic force in the music industry, known for her innovative sound and emotional depth.
