Allen James
Allen James is a talented guitarist hailing from White Plains, NY, who grew up in Tarrytown. His passion for guitar was ignited after witnessing The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show and listening to Led Zeppelin's debut album. Self-taught, Allen began his musical journey in his teens, playing in local bands before relocating to Philadelphia, where he became a notable figure in the city's music scene. Throughout his career, Allen has collaborated with numerous bands and artists, including Robert Hazard, Kenn Kweeder, and Bo Diddley. His exceptional guitar skills earned him the Philadelphia Street Beat WMMR award for best guitarist in 1990 while performing with Junior League. Influenced by late 60s and early 70s British rock and blues, Allen's playing style is shaped by legends like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Currently, he plays a Stratocaster and is dedicated to achieving the perfect guitar tone.
