Adam Czerwinski Band
Adam Czerwiński, born on July 2, 1965, in Nowe, Poland, is a renowned Polish jazz drummer, composer, arranger, producer, and educator. He began his music career in the mid-1980s as a vibraphone player for Jerzy Partyka's Big Band Gdańsk but soon transitioned to the drums, which became his primary instrument. Czerwiński's drumming has provided a solid rhythmic foundation for numerous prominent Polish jazz musicians, including Zbigniew Namysłowski, Jan "Ptaszyn" Wróblewski, Wojciech Karolak, and Janusz Muniak.

He has also collaborated with many American jazz legends such as Art Farmer, Garry Bartz, John Abercrombie, Larry Goldings, Bennie Maupin, and Karen Edwards. Czerwiński is perhaps best known for his long-standing partnership with the late Jarosław Śmietana, with whom he recorded over twenty albums and performed extensively worldwide. Following Śmietana's death, Czerwiński produced a tribute album, "Friends - Music of Jarek Śmietana," featuring numerous international musicians.

In recent years, Czerwiński has worked with violinist Nigel Kennedy, performing in diverse concert programs that range from classical music to Jimi Hendrix interpretations. His career highlights include performing at London's Royal Albert Hall alongside Jean-Luc Ponty and Robert Plant. Czerwiński has toured extensively, playing in countries across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia.

As an educator, Czerwiński has been involved in numerous jazz workshops and has led his own workshops in Gdańsk under Polish-German cultural cooperation. He is also a co-founder of the "Jazz in the Forest" festival, which has been a significant event in Poland's jazz scene since 1996. In 2019, he founded AC Records, specializing in high-quality vinyl recordings. Czerwiński has received accolades from prestigious music publications and was awarded the "Labor Omnia Vincit" medal in 2020 and the Gdańsk President's Award in Culture in 2024.
