Mietek Blues Band
Mietek Blues Band is a blues rock group founded in 1976 in Gdańsk, Poland, by guitarist Mieczysław Wróbel and vocalist/harmonica player Zbigniew Łaski. The band is recognized as one of the oldest functioning blues groups in Poland, with a significant influence in the Tricity area. Over the years, Mietek Blues Band has participated in numerous festivals, including the Jarocin Festival in 1979, where they won two awards, as well as Pop Session in Sopot, Rawa Blues, and Summer Jazz Days in Gdynia, where they opened for B.B. King in 2000.
The band has released four albums: "Tribute To The Blues" (1996), "Road" (1998), "Zwykłe słowa" (2002), and "30 Years Have Passed (live)" (2009). The current lineup includes Mieczysław Wróbel on guitar, Romuald Sławiński on vocals, Robert Tyszka on vocals and harmonica, Tomek Przyborowicz on bass guitar, Piotr Góra on drums, and Artur Jurek on keyboards. Throughout its history, the band has seen many notable musicians collaborate with them, such as Adam Wendt, Cezary Paciorek, and Zbigniew Kraszewski.
