Al Ciner
Al Ciner, born on May 14, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, is an accomplished American guitarist and songwriter known for his contributions to rock and pop music. He began his musical career in the mid-1960s as a member of Gary & The Knight Lites, which later became known as The American Breed. The band achieved significant success with hits like "Green Light," "Step Out Of Your Mind," and the 1968 No. 5 hit "Bend Me, Shape Me."

Following the dissolution of The American Breed in 1970, Ciner co-founded the band Rufus, where he played a pivotal role in their success, including the Grammy-winning hit "Tell Me Something Good." He also co-wrote the title track for their album "Rags to Rufus." In 1975, Ciner joined the rock band Three Dog Night, replacing James "Smitty" Smith, and remained with them until their initial disbandment in 1976.

Throughout his career, Ciner has collaborated with numerous artists and appeared on various albums, including those by Tina Turner, Flora Purim, and Brenda Russell. He has also contributed to projects with notable musicians like George Duke and Herb Alpert. In recent years, Ciner has performed with the Chicago band The Mauds, continuing his enduring presence in the music industry.
