Pedro Galindo
Pedro Galindo Galarza (born August 16, 1906, in Mexico City, and died October 8, 1989) was a prominent Mexican composer known for his contributions to ranchera and bolero music. He co-authored the famous song "La Malagueña" with Elpidio Ramírez, although the authorship of this song is sometimes disputed, with some considering it an anonymous huapango from the Huasteca region. Galindo was also a founding member of the Sociedad de Autores y Compositores de México.

In addition to his musical achievements, Galindo was a significant figure in the golden age of Mexican cinema, working as a film producer, actor, singer, composer, screenwriter, and director. He collaborated with notable figures such as María Félix, Emilio Fernández, Pedro Infante, and Pedro Armendáriz. Some of his film productions include "En cada puerto un amor," "Al son del mambo," "Juan Charrasqueado," and "El derecho de nacer." As an actor, he appeared in films like "Doña Bárbara" and "Soy puro mexicano."

Galindo's notable musical works include "Viva México," "El Herradero," "El gavilán," and "Virgencita Morena." His song "La Malagueña" gained further recognition by being featured in Quentin Tarantino's film "Kill Bill." Pedro Galindo passed away on October 8, 1989, leaving behind a legacy in both the music and film industries.
