Ronal McCown
Ronal McCown, also known as Ronald McCown or Ron McCown, was an American singer, songwriter, and musician born on May 28, 1944, in Montgomery County, Texas. He was active in the music industry during the 1960s and collaborated with notable artists such as Mel Tillis, The Statesiders, John Anderson, and George Jones. Some of his popular songs include "The Arms of a Fool," "What Did I Promise Her Last Night," and "Please Don’t Sell Me Anymore Whiskey Tonight." McCown also released singles like "Throwin' Rocks / Why Did You Leave Me Little Girl" and "Fool's Day Off / What??" with The Clay Glover Combo in 1965. He passed away on February 4, 1996, in Harris County, Texas, and was buried in Willis Cemetery, Montgomery County, Texas.
