Reed Nielsen
Reed Nielsen was an American country rock musician and songwriter, best known as one half of the Nielsen Pearson duo. Born as George Reed Nielsen, he was an influential figure in the soft rock and country rock genres. Nielsen was a member of the Nielsen Pearson Band, which originated from Sacramento, California, and was active from 1969 to 1983. The band was recognized for their top 40 single "If You Should Sail." Throughout his career, Nielsen contributed to various albums and singles, collaborating with artists like Juice Newton, Huey Lewis and the News, and Eddie Rabbitt. He passed away in 2014, leaving behind a legacy of contributions to the music industry.
