Elvin F. Torres
Elvin F. Torres Serrant, born on January 25, 1971, in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico, is a renowned musician, composer, and arranger, best known as a member of the popular merengue group Limi-T 21. As the musical director of the group, Elvin plays a pivotal role in its success, contributing as a singer, arranger, and composer. Limi-T 21 was formed in 1990 and quickly became a significant force in the merengue genre, achieving widespread acclaim across Latin America. The group made history in 1996 by performing at the Centro de Bellas Artes in Puerto Rico, the first merengue group to do so. Elvin and his bandmates have received numerous accolades, including a Grammy nomination for Best Merengue Album for "Calle Sabor, Esquina Amor" in 2003. With a career spanning decades, Elvin continues to influence the Latin music scene, both through his work with Limi-T 21 and his individual contributions as a producer and arranger for various artists.
