Edna Osser
Edna Osser (April 24, 1919 – April 6, 2005) was an American lyricist known for her contributions to popular music, particularly in the mid-20th century. She wrote the lyrics for songs performed by notable artists such as Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, and Doris Day. Among her well-known works are "I Dream Of You (More Than You Dream I Do)" and "I'll Always Be With You," both co-written with Marjorie Goetschius.
Edna was married to Abraham "Glenn" Osser, an orchestra leader, with whom she collaborated on music for the Miss America Pageant, including opening numbers and incidental music. The couple's partnership extended beyond their marriage into their professional lives, contributing significantly to the music of the pageant.
Edna Osser passed away in Harrison, New York. Her legacy includes a selection of songs that captured the essence of her era and continue to be remembered for their lyrical beauty.
