Gigi Beccaria
Luigi Beccaria, known as Gigi, was an Italian singer born on March 30, 1920, in Turin, Italy. He rose to fame after winning a new voices competition in 1944 at the EIAR studios, which led to his debut on the radio program "Uomini nell'ombra." His first major success was with the song "Dove sta Zazà?", originally performed by Aldo Tarantino in 1944, which Gigi popularized on the radio in 1946. Throughout his career, he was associated with the orchestras of Cinico Angelini and notably Pippo Barzizza, with whom he stood out for his unique style in the song "Baciandoti" (1946), avoiding the typical swing style of Alberto Rabagliati.

Gigi Beccaria recorded primarily for the Cetra label, often accompanied by Beppe Mojetta's orchestra. Between the late 1940s and early 1950s, he released several popular songs, including "Eulalia Torricelli" (1946), "Cica cica bum" (1947), and "Jess il bandito" (1950). After performing "Jess il bandito," he retired from the music scene to start a beauty products business. Gigi Beccaria passed away on October 14, 2006, in Parma, Italy.
