Ken Harrison
Ken Harrison is a Canadian musician known for his role as a member of the indie-pop duo Wild Strawberries, alongside his wife, Roberta Carter-Harrison. The band, originating in Canada, has been active since 1988 and is known for its pop rock and alternative rock genres. Ken Harrison played a significant role in the band's development, establishing a studio for their early independent releases and co-founding the Strawberry Records label. Wild Strawberries gained attention with their song "Crying Shame," which won a new music search contest by Toronto radio station CFNY, leading to airplay and further opportunities.
The band's album "Grace" attracted A&M Records of Canada, which distributed their subsequent release, "Bet You Think I'm Lonely." This success led to a national tour and a contract with Nettwerk, an independent record label, for two more albums. Ken Harrison has also been involved in collaborations, notably with German electronic dance producer ATB, resulting in the popular remix "Let U Go."
Beyond Wild Strawberries, Ken Harrison is recognized for his work as a composer in various television series and films, including "Melrose Place," "A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors," and "Cover Up."
